Academic Enhancement Summer Camps

Our academic enhancement camps aim to assist junior youth in grades 5, 6, 7 and 8 to be well prepared to enter high school. The program focusses on strengthening the acquisition of language – vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and eloquent speech; mathematics – number sense, fractions, and algebra; and scientific ability. The program draws on the assistance of Ontario certified teachers and trained tutors. The program seeks to go beyond the mechanics of reading, writing and arithmetic to explore themes relevant to the life of a young person, such as the purpose of education and service to the community. In addition to study, the programs include the arts, including film-making, sports recreation and service.

The First week will take place at the Roywood Neighbourhood Centre (located inside Parkway Mall - 85 Ellesmere Rd) The second week of camp will take place at the Don valley Education Centre ( 7015 Leslie St, Thornhill, ON L3T 6L6). Third week will be at the Roywood Neighbourhood Centre (located inside Parkway Mall - 85 Ellesmere Rd).
